Day 8 of 9 “Index case” Neckpiece – lampworked glass, silver, 2021
The index case or patient zero is the first documented patient and often then creates a cluster of cases around them through their close contacts. This piece explores the index and the chains of transmission that quickly occurs.
This series of works, responds to our new shared pandemic terminology which has re-purposed terms like #cluster and #hotspot to communicate and mean much more than they ever have before.
